FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This is a short list of our most frequently asked questions. If you have a question of your own that we haven't answered here, feel free to contact us.
What comes in the box?
1 Alkaline Water Pitcher, 1 water reservoir, 1 lid, and 1 cartridge.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
Recommended replacement for The Alkaline Water Pitcher Cartridge is every 60 days.
THE CARTRIDGE IS FILTERING SLOWLY OR NOT AT ALL?
There are two clear shipping stickers on the bottom of the filter that need to be removed.
MY LID WON’T STAY ON?
The lid of The Alkaline Water Pitcher fits in the blue reservoir. Remove the reservoir from the pitcher, and place the lid on to the reservoir. Place both pieces into the pitcher together, and you should have a snug fit. You should be able to pour alkaline water with source water still in the reservoir without holding the lid.
WHAT IS THE PH RANGE?
7.5 - 9.5PH
WHAT IS THE ORP RANGE?
-50mV to -200mV
WHY ISN’T IT ALKALIZING MY WATER?
There are several variables that can affect your pH level reading. Be sure you have removed the two shipping stickers, and are testing the water with the correct indicator for pH. See the next question for our recommendation on testing any water for alkalinity.
WHAT SHOULD I USE TO TEST THE WATER’S ALKALINITY?
We recommend pH Reagent, or a pH meter. It's not recommended to use pH Strips to test the water. pH Reagent is a better indicator of pH Value. Please contact us if you have any questions. 1(800)261-4501
WHAT IS IN THE CARTRIDGE?
There is carbon, ion exchange resin, and multiple mineral stones. Carbon is for basic water filtration. Tourmaline, Maifan, and Calcium help create the alkaline water.
DOES IT FILTER FLUORIDE?
The filter contains ion exchange resins but is not engineered specifically for fluoride removal. A specific filter would be recommend for 100% fluoride removal. Hint: Look for an Activated Alumina filter.
IS IT OK TO USE WATER FROM AN RO SYSTEM TO PUT IN THIS PITCHER?
This unit does contain re-mineralizing stones that will introduce the necessary minerals into the water to create alkaline water. However, best pH results will come from using a simpler filtration method before, or simply using un-filtered tap water.
